Mini-Update: Dev Plans


Hello everyone! It's certainly been a hot minute since I finished the last version of this game. And to be honest, I had put this game on the backburner of my mind while I worked on other projects. However, I do eventually want to finish this game and release it to the general public, so I do have a few plans in store for a future release!

  • Unique Boss Designs! In order to make the bosses a bit more interesting than just another enemy that soaks up more damage than the others, I want to make it so that each boss you get has an ability! The boss's ability will be tied to whatever type it is, so a Blue Slime will always have the Defend Ability and a Thief King will always have the Pickpocket Ability, for example.
  • More Modifiers! Something that I'd like to try is giving the enemies a chance to play with card effects, though since currently it only handles card effects on the player's side, there'd have to be additional systems put in place so that the enemy can use them (though it won't be more work than implementing them in the first place.)
  • More of... Everything! More Suit Effects, more Decks, more Upgrades, more Card Effects, oh my! I want this game to feel less like a simple tech demo and more of a full fledged game!
  • Clean Things Up! Sometimes things can be a bit messy or something gets implemented in a "hacky" way. I'd like to make things a bit more "elegant" across the board.
  • Bug Fixes! As always, fixing bugs is part of the job description.

We are most certainly at the point where we can fully start playtesting the game and perhaps even promoting it on social media? Who knows? But until then, thank you so much for reading!
